I’m an author and illustrator working from my small bedroom studio in a rainy little city off the West Coast of Canada.

 

In my writings, I am a novelist first and foremost in both fantasy and fiction, also dabbling in poetry, short stories, and the occasional article. My work tends to focus on identity, mental health, and anything with a bit of magic. My greatest inspiration will forever be Tolkien, but more modern inspirations include Brandon Sanderson, Allison Saft, and Leigh Bardugoh.

 

When it comes to illustration, I have been creating in every medium I can get my hands on from the moment I could hold a pencil. Inspired by cozy stories, nature, and the little things in life, I aim to create a sense of whimsy and wonder in my work whether its with picture books, graphic novels, or illustrations. I primarily work in traditional mediums including gouache/watercolour, coloured pencils, ink, and graphite. Though I dabble in digital art, there’s just something about physical media that forever has my heart.

 

In my free time I love knitting, reading lots of books, sipping tea, and spending time with my partner and our extra fuzzy gremlin, Henry. When I’m not working on creative projects, I jump between my job at my local public library and my school studies.
